D'banj bought the brand new 2012 Porsche Cayenne himself and presented it to Naeto, who is one of his best friends and brother in the music industry, as a wedding gift.

The car presentation held at the Silverbird Galleria in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Faces present at the presentation include vice president, Silverbird Group, Guy Murray Bruce who presented the car to Wizkid, Smooth Promotions CEO, Ayo Animashaun, Bola Salako, General manager, Silverbird Group among others.

Wizkid won last year's next rated category which had the likes of Ice Prince, Tiwa Savage and Olamide.

Sexy and A-lister Nollywood's screen diva, Kate Henshaw is a year older today Thursday, July 19, 2012. The Cross River state born actress clocks 41.

Kate, who is the oldest of four children, was born in 1971. She first studied in University of Calabar, where she did remedial studies for a year before proceeding to Lagos University Teaching Hospital to study Medical Microbiology at the School of Medical Lab Science.

She started her acting career in 'When The Sun Sets' in 1993. In 2008, she won the African Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for the film 'Stronger than Pain'.

She is presently reported to be a single mother after her marriage crash to British-born Roderick James Nuttal. Their union produced a daughter named Ella. She is a face of Onga seasoning. She was once a Glo ambassador before being reportedly dropped by the telecoms giant.

Kate is gradually becoming a pronounced activist. During the Lekki Toll Gate saga in 2011, she was very visible in fighting for the cause. At January 2012 'Occupy Nigeria' protest, Kate was also vocal especially with her interview on a Lagos TV.

Sage Moonblood Stallone, the son of Sylvester Stallone with ex-wife Sasha Czack, was found lifeless in his house in Los Angeles at around 2:17 P.M Friday, July 13. He was 36.

"Sylvester Stallone is devastated and grief-stricken over the sudden loss of his son Sage Stallone," said the actor's rep, Michelle Bega. "His compassion and thoughts are with Sage's mother, Sasha. Sage was a very talented and wonderful young man. His loss will be felt forever."

The Robert Balboa depicter on "Rocky V" was found dead by Los Angeles police officers when they went to his home for a welfare check after someone informed them he couldn't be reached. "There is no suspicion of foul play or criminal activity," said a publicist for the LAPD.

Reports suggested he might die of overdose on pills, but LAPD Commander Andrew Smith said it's too early to make such conclusion. "It could have been a heart attack or a stroke," he added before revealing that the case has been referred to the coroner for a toxicology report.

Sage's attorney George Braunstein dismissed speculation that the younger Stallone was depressed. "He was in good spirits, and working on all kinds of project. He was planning on getting married," he told New York Daily News. "He was an extremely wonderful, loving guy. This is a tragedy,"

Following a warning by Pastor Wole Oladiyun of Christ Living Spring Apostolic Ministry (CLAM), Ogba, Lagos that Nigerian entertainment should pray against sudden death, the church venue was besieged by top stars who heeded to the pastor's call.

The prayer service was held yesterday, Thursday, July 12 from 10am to 12pm.

We got from a good authority that D'Banj was present at the special prayer session held for Nigeria entertainers.

The prayer session was held at the church premises located at CLAM Event Centre, behind Tejumola Building, Omole, Lagos.

We further learnt that D'Banj was dragged to the church for the prayer session by his mother, apparently not wanting any evil befall his son, who has achieved success in his music career.

Also present at the prayer session were Mercy Aigbe, Foluke Daramola, Ayo Adesanya, BUGA, Femi Ogedengbe, Funke Adesiyan and many others.

Few weeks ago, Pastor Oladiyun warned that Nigerian entertainers should come for a special prayer session with him to avert sudden death among Nigerian entertainers.

It was only two weeks ago that she posted intimate photos of her spending time with her sick grandmother on Twitter.

And now Rihanna is in mourning after revealing Clara 'Dolly' Brathwaite has now passed away.


The singer took to Twitter this morning to reveal the sad news and wrote: 'Goodbye #grangranDOLLY get your beauty rest until I see you.'

She then proceeded to post a number of sweet and personal photos of herself with her gran over the years.




In another snap the 24-year-old singer is seen placing her trucker cap on Dolly's head.


The singer has spent the morning wading through her personal family album and sharing the snaps with her followers.

But she seems to be struggling to come to terms with the death as she later added some expletives to express her anguish.

Rihanna also retweeted a sentimental message from one fan, which read: 'A little tribute true and tender. just to show that we remember. time may pass and fade away. but memories of you will always stay.'

Fans of Rihanna are familiar with Dolly and in March the singer documented a birthday party held for her grandmother in New York.

And the heartbreaking news could explain her shambolic performance just the night before at the Peace & Love Festival in Sweden. Revellers at the event were left unimpressed by her performance, but the sad news could explain her state

Not only did she turn up 45 minutes late on stage, but fans then took to Twitter to claim that she appeared intoxicated and wasn't singing live.

One disgruntled fan wrote ‘Really don’t feel like watching Rihanna under the influence gig. Who the f*** allowed her on stage in this state? #pal12’.

Some fans questioned whether Rihanna was under the influence of drugs as her performance was so bad, with one person calling her ‘disgusting and shameful’.

The Twitter user wrote ‘Rihanna is blatantly under the influence of drugs and is allowed to perform in front of children and young people. It is disgusting and shameful. #pal12.’

Another added ‘Crowd walk-out from #Rihanna concert at #peaceandlove #pal12 #Sweden claiming she's too high to sing properly.’

She even dedicated a track to Norway after getting the countries muddled up.

But it seems she must have had a lot on her mind after her gran's health deteriorated.

Welcome to Oginni motunrayo's blog:FUEL TANKER EXPLODES IN RIVER STATE KILLING OVER 90 PEOPLE

Early this morning a tanker loaded with petrol fell in Okogbe and people trooped to the scene obviously to scoop the spilled fuel and suddenly there was fire resulting in casualties.

 At least 90 people including women and children were burnt to death while scooping fuel from a fallen tanker at Okobe in Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State..The fuel tanker crashed into some vehicles and fell, spilling its content but didn't immediately burst into flames. Unfortunately it exploded when residents of the area went to the scene to scoop fuel from the tanker.
    A team of police officers, soldiers and emergency workers got to the scene, where burnt bodies were removed.

Tiwa Savage and EME’s Wizkid have been officially unveiled as ambassadors of popular soft drink Pepsi.

The unveiling which was held last night (Wednesday, July 11, 2012) at the Likwid Lounge had celebrities and fans of the singers, turn out to see them decorated.

An excited Tiwa in a chat with NET expressed gratitude at the decision of the brand to make her an ambassador adding that she has no idea why she was chosen but will add ‘a proper Naija flavour’ to the brand.

Celebrities who were in attendance included Eku Edewor, Kaffy, Vector, Tillaman,Dr Sid, Flowsick, Olisa Adibua, DJ Xclusive, Durella, Mo cheddah and a host of others.

The duo are the latest additions on the list of Nigerian musicians who have been chosen as ambassadors for the brand following Ashionye who was signed as face of Pepsi Lite in 2007, and Lynxxx who represented the brand in 2010.

Globally, Pepsi has for many years, used soccer and music stars for marketing campaigns.

With less than five weeks to the end of the Big Brother Stargame, events in the house have taken a new course, especially with the news of Biggie’s kidnap.

The shocking news of the kidnap was broken to the housemates on Wednesday, July 11, 2012, followed by an introduction of a new Big Brother, who has since invaded the house. House mates couldn’t hide their shock; Alex looked dumbfounded while Goldie stared in amazement as panic hit the house and the lights were dimmed dramatically to announce the arrival of the new Biggie.

The contestants have since begun preparation for an epic battle to ensure the rescue of the abducted Biggie, a task given to the Head of House, Keagan. He has to include his fellow housemates. 

The battle, which is due to take place t0day Thursday, July 12, 2012, in the garden, has been tagged ‘Battle of Heroes and Villains’ and the contestants have been armed with weapons and costumes.

Adele has just announced her pregnancy late last month but you know what? Apparently, the bun has been in the oven for some time! In fact, Adele is due to give birth in two months’ time! Wow, who would have guessed? I really thought she was just in her first trimester or something.

Adele sure knows how to keep things a secret! It’s really amazing how she managed to hide her baby bump all this time from the eagle-eyed paparazzi.

Adele couldn’t have done it without some sort of strategy. So how did she manage to hide it? A source told heat magazine that the singer barely left the house these past months so that nobody would suspect her burgeoning baby bump. She also stopped exercising months ago and just focused on the baby.

Although there were some award events that she attended, Adele usually wore some loose dress so nobody suspected her pregnant state.

Oh well, if Adele wished it to be a big surprise then so be it. She’s just probably cautious since it’s her first baby with Simon Konecki.

And now, let the countdown until the baby’s birth begin!

 The Italian footballer's pregnant ex-girlfriend has penned down an emotional open letter to him after balotelli asked for a paternity test and saying there was no hope of them reconciling in a statement released last week...The letter was published in the current edition of Italian weekly magazine; CHI....read below:

This child I desire with all my heart and I want it because it is not a child that arrived by chance but instead it is the fruit of love between two people and you know well what I am talking about. 

This letter was the only way I could speak to you. I am happy to take the DNA test but I still have the text messages you sent me from Krakow (during Euro 2012) in which you said you were happy with the news I had given you.

Even if the events of life have separated us you will be a present and responsible father, as well as one being full of love for his child. You know full well where to find me and I will always be ready to speak with you about the future of your child. Of our child.”

I’m writing this letter because I was left deeply hurt as a woman but also as a mother by what you said in your cold statement.

I find it unfair on your part that you wrote (if you indeed did write it) the insinuation that I was cashing in on the birth of our child.
